Am i starting the menopause??

Postby Jaycee » Thu Mar 29, 2007 4:03 am

Hi.
I have just turned 46 (last week), my periods have been a bit irregular for a while (every 2 months when I've always been regular) and I haven't had a period for about 3 months now, then a few weeks ago I started getting what seemed like hot flushes!
I was at my local health centre recently for a health check and find my blood pressure is a bit higher than they would like it to be 150/90 could this also be connected with the menopause?

I'm going to do what the others have always beat me to-

Here's a list of the 35 symptoms.

In my opinion (speaking from my own personal experience), if you *think* you may be starting perimenopause, then you probably are!

Thanks Psexy! "check out the 35" is probably my "other" mantra!! LOL!!

And yes, Jaycee, blood pressure can rise with menopause approaching. There's something to do with estrogen and the flexibility of the veins/arteries. read it somewhere recently but can't remember where (anothr of the infamous 35!!! LOL). I was disconcerted the last time I was at the Dr. and they checked my BP...I've always had a very healthy BP and it was a little increased...bummed me out tho they said that it was typical.
