I am just into menopause, and have noticed something that reminds me of when I was a teenager.....I am REALLY sensitive. I am sure that no one likes me and I am not even sure I like myself. I am usually a fairly self-confident woman, but this new development surprises me. Has anyone else felt this way?

That's not an uncommon symptom. I experienced. I have sometimes thought that peri-meno. is constant PMS.

Hope you feel better soon, Edlyn

I myself have the same problem. Where 5 years ago I was the most confident person you could find, I am now a crybaby or so sensitive to what people say. They could say one thing and I take it all wrong. DUH! Another symptom of the change. Good luck, Terri

Welcome to the forum, Mari! :D

I know what you mean, but have no easy answers... I've just tried to be nicer to counteract my new short hairs... LOL!!

 Well here I am, a teacher to young people in their own change, and wham, I get so cranky. One minute I'm happy, then the next I'm over serious. I put on the air conditioner and see the poor kids teeth chatter. The other day, one of my favorites complained it was cold so I made them all wear jackets. My aid laughs and says its fine and they will live through it all, but I feel bad. :x My husband keeps telling me to over this and hurry up, and my kids, (4) want a new mother. I keep saying I'm moving to Alaska, but my friends say Alaska can't take the heat. I like this site and hope to weather this peri thing out while trying to have some humor. God knows I need it.
