What age do periods completely stop?

Postby chelsea6 » Wed Oct 17, 2007 2:07 pm

Anyone know the oldest age a woman has gone until her period has completely stopped? I know rarely they can begin as early as 9 years old, but what about completely ending?? It can't go on until age 70 or anything, can it? I am SO tired of these monthly visits, and can't wait for them to end.

Dee has posted a link to a site that has your question answered in it. Although I've known of women going longer than these doctors have stated. I guess they're quoting an age on the average.
Anyway, the new thread that Dee posted is just above this one, named: Most recent article about taking hormones....

It's got some real good points on HRT and periods to read about.
