Deleted Threads

Just wanted to let you know that I deleted a thread where some of you were discussing false rumors or something. I'm sure that it has something to do with a porn spammer, as "he" had 18 posts, all with "c*ck" in them. Anyway, I was trying out the new administrator tool that Dee mentioned in another thread and had it delete the posts when I removed the spammer. It left the spots where the 18 posts were, but wrote "DELETED" instead. So, I removed all of the threads/posts of the spammer, including that discussion. All of the rest of the threads were a single SPAM post.

Some of these idiots are very persistant!! I've been sitting here for nearly an hour deleting all the spam and porn links and a couple of them are showing up again right after I delete them. Now I'm trying by banning their email address. Why don't they go somewhere where they're appreciated????

It seems to come in waves.

Some days, I'll delete up to 10 spam posts, then other days, barely any. Looks like I missed this wave.

If you can ban by email, you might want to try banning by IP number too.

DH and I are working on making it harder for spambots to register on the site. So, it'll be more like for them.

I just deleted three porn posts from Dr. Judy's forum. These had not just links, but photos as well!

Yeah, there is one particular guy that has been posting porn pictures. If you get his ip address from the post before you delete it, we can block him from the site. Just send it to me in a PM.
