I'm smoke free

Are you a smoker? Do you want to quit, but need support and encouragement from others who have quit or are trying to?

I'm smoke free

I quit smoking 17 months ago. I attempted it a couple of times, but didn't follow through with any program seriously. I used the patch and followed the instructions. To be very honest, I have no clue why I ever smoked all those years and spent all that money. The first couple of days were annoying but after that, no problem. So I'm telling you, stick with it, it does get better. I watched my Mom die from troat cancer and she never smoked and believe me you don't want to have to go through that. So I quit smoking on her birthday.

Way to go thelady!! I still can't believe I quit after 40+ years of smoking, but I'm 3 yrs and 2mo smoke free and very happy I quit too. I really feel for those who are still struggling. The only thing I can say is to keep trying and believing that you have the power over the cigarettes.
