I'm also very skeptical of all the new "disorders" they come up with that just happen to fit the new drugs pharm companies have developed....now isn't that a coinkidinky?I have a 9 yr. old grandson who's TEACHER recommended that he be put on medication for hyperactivity, so his mother took him to the doctor and based on the teachers comments, he was "labeled" and put on the medication. Poor kid was feeling like he was different than other kids, didn't do well on the medication (I found out later his mother--ex-daughter-in-law--was taking it herself!! Oh lord). My argument was....how does he sit perfectly still for a 2 hour movie or for playing video games for hours on end if he's hyper active????? Anyway, I'm off track, but your comment about your son brought it on.
I just meant to tell you that my periods stopped completely when I was either 41 or 42 and I've never had another one (I'm 60 now). I've also never taken hrt OR supplements for menopause because there just wasn't any info out there (in the olden days).I'm really encouraged about how women are researching all their options now. That's why someone like you (and all the others) sharing your experiences is so important!
BTW....I had a tubal at age 25 after 3 kids, so maybe there's something to the early meno thing.
