Hi Dee
My business is steady at the moment. I did mention it after you asked what I did after the "Puffy Crotch Rapping" incident !!!!!
I draw portraits of people and pets in pastel. I have always drawn things for my friends etc. and throughout my life people have told me that I should do it for a living........easier said than done though when the bills need paying!
I came to a cross roads in my life after leaving a full time corporate job I hated last December. The first six months were wonderful for the soul, but not so much for the stresses of worry over regular income!!! I've solved it in the short term I hope by taking a part time job in a local shop. It cuts down my portrait time (especially at my busiest for Christmas) but at least it takes away the financial stresses to some extent!!!
Because I want my business to build through recommendation I know it will take time, but I get so much satisfaction out of the joy I see on peoples faces when they see their commissions for the first time it almost completely compensates for any financial hardships along the way:(although my DH says I have to be realistic and keeps my feet on the ground!!!) LOL
Anyways Dee. I've still quit smoking and hardly ever think about it anymore, Thank Goodness
I'm SO glad I don't smell anymore like those I come across frequently who have just stubbed one out!
I feel embarrassed now that I must have smelled the same (even after popping in a mint and a spray of perfume after a crafty one !)
Thanks for asking. I hope you are still happy and healthy too after quitting.
