"Do you know that within your power lies every step you ever dreamed of stepping,
and within your power lies every joy you ever dreamed of seeing? Within yourself lies
everything you ever dreamed of being. Become everything that God wants you to be. It
is within your reach. Dare to grow into your dreams and claim this as your motto: Let it be me."
-- Mary Kay Ash

I have a premonition that soars on silver wings,
It is a dream of your accomplishment
Of many wondrous things,
I do not know beneath which sky
Or where you'll challenge fate,
I only know it will be high,
I only know it will be GREAT!

( Desiderata is my all time favorite source of inspiration....Dee Adams)
Desiderata
                             Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
                              And remember what peace there may be in silence.
                              As far as possible, without surrender
                              Be on good terms with all persons.
                              Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
                              And listen to others, even the dull and ignorant;
                              They too have their story.
                              Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
                              They are vexations to the spirit.
                              If you compare yourself with others,
                              You may become vain and bitter; for always
                              There will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
                              Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
                              Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
                              It is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
                              Exercise caution in your business affairs;
                              For the world is full of trickery.
                              But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
                              Many persons strive for high ideals;
                              And everywhere life is full of heroism.
                              Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.
                              Neither be cynical about love;
                              For in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
                              It is perennial as the grass.
                              Take kindly the counsel of the years,
                              Gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
                              Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
                              But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
                              Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
                              Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
                              You are a child of the universe,
                              No less than the trees and the stars;
                              You have a right to be here.
                              And whether or not it is clear to you,
                              No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
                              Therefore be at peace with God,
                              Whatever you conceive Him to be,
                              And whatever your labors and aspirations,
                              In the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.
                              With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,
                              It is still a beautiful world.

                              Be careful. Strive to be happy.

                    desideratum, pl desiderata: n, anything missing and felt to be needed [Latin]

               This poem by Max Ehrmann (1872–1945) was originally published in 1927.  In 1956, the rector of St.
               Paul's Church in Baltimore, Maryland, used the poem in a collection of mimeographed inspirational
               material for his congregation.  Someone who subsequently printed it mistakenly asserted that it was
               found in Old St. Paul's Church, dated 1692.   The year 1692 was the founding date of the church and has
               nothing to do with the poem.

Biblical Scripture for strength and wisdom....
contributed by Sharon DeIbero
Job 6: 17-19
"But consider the joy of those corrected by God!  Do not despise the chastening
of the Almighty when you sin.  For though he wounds, he also bandages.
He strikes, but his hands also heal.  He wil rescue you again and again
so that no evil can touch you."

ALWAYS A TOMORROW
How often we wish for another chance to make a fresh beginning,
A chance to blot our our mistakes and change failure into winning-
And it does not take a special time to make a brand-new start,
It only takes the deep desire to try with all our heart
To live a little better and to always be forgiving
And to add a little sunshine to the world in which we're living.
So never give up in despair and think that you are through,
For there's always a tomorrow and a chance to start anew.

The love of God surrounds us
Like the air we breathe around us-
As near as a heartbeat, as close as a prayer
And whenever we need Him, He'll always be there...Helen Steiner Rice

"If one could hear and see ourselves as others do, would we be tempted to
wear earplugs and put on dark glasses?"  S.B.

"Our Father Who Art in heaven," hear this little prayer
And reach across the miles today that stretch from here to there,
So I may feel much closer to those I"m fondest of
And they may know I think of them with thankfulness and love.
And help all people everywhere who must often dwell apart
To know that they're together in the haven of the heart....

Let the weakest and the humblest remember that in his daily course he can, if he will, shed around him almost a heaven.  Kind words, sympathizing attentions, watchfulness against wounding men's sensitiveness, these cost very little, but they are priceless in their value.  Are they not almost the staple of our daily happiness?  From hour to hour, from moment to monent, we are supported and blessed by small kindnesses....Frederick William Robertson

Prayer enlarges the heart until it is capable of containing God's gift of himself.
Ask and seek, and your heart will grow big enough to receive him and to keep him as your own.
Wherever God has put you, that is your vocation.  It is not what we do but how much love we put into it....
Mother Teresa

What must I do to insure peace of mind?
Is the answer I'm seeking too hard to find?
How can I know what God wants me to be?
How can I tell what's expected of me?
Where can I go for guidance and aid
To help me correct the errors I've made?
The answer is found in doing three things
And great is the gladness that doing them brings-
Do justice, love kindness, walk humbly with God-
For with these three things as your rule and your rod,
All things worth having are yours to achieve
If you follow God's words, have hope and believe.
Helen Steiner Rice...
When troubles come and things go wrong
And days are cheerless and nights are long,
We find it so easy to give in to despair
By magnifing the burdens we bear.
We add to our worries by refusing to try
To look for the rainbow in an overcast sky,
And the blessings God sent in a darkened disguise
Our troubled hearts failed to recognize,
Not knowing God sent it,  not to distress us
But to strenghten our faith and redeeem and bless us.
Author, Helen Steiner Rice
God is in every tomorrow,
Therefore I live for today,
Certain of finding at sunrise,
Guidance and strength for my way;
Power for each moment of weakness,
Hope for each moment of pain,
Comfort for every sorrow,
Sunshine and joy after rain.
