Recipe for a New Year
(From the December 2003 Minnie Pauz Newsletter)

Well, another year is almost over and for some it may have been the hottest year on record (if this was when you started experiencing menopause symptoms)! December is a mixed bag of emotions for me as I take a moment to reflect on what has transpired over the past 12 months and start looking forward to what can develop in the year to come.

We've all had some good and bad events in past years and the key is to focus on the good and learn from the bad so we can face the upcoming years with courage, hope and a positive outlook! Give yourself a pat on the back for all you have accomplished this year, especially the challenges you have overcome. Whether it's health issues, business concerns or financial difficulties, we all have the same chance to start over with a clean slate!

This is the time to acknowledge our mistakes of the past and then LET GO of them! This is the time to turn to our future and decide what we want it to be! We have the power to make it happen, whatever IT is for each of us! All we have to do is open our minds and hearts to the possibilities, find sources of inspiration and information and believe in ourselves. I know, you're asking HOW DO I DO THAT?

Well, I'm going to tell you, but keep in mind that I'm just passing along bits of knowledge that I've uncovered in my own search for comfort, support, self-improvement, success and happiness. I want to make the most of the next 35 to 40 years I have left on this earth! Don't you?

1. Open your mind and heart to the possibilities

2. Find sources of inspiration, information & support

3. Believe in yourself...this stuff WORKS!!! I can't emphasize enough how important it is to take action! Don't let another day go by without doing something to make your life better. You deserve to enjoy yourself each and every day, and with just a little effort you can make that happen! D.
